With the official arrival of autumn and the falling of leaves, the City of Canal Winchester will begin annual curbside leaf collection on Monday, October 3rd and continue through Friday, December 9th.
To avoid water backup in the event of rain, leaf piles must be placed behind the curb along the street. Residents are reminded that leaf piles may contain leaves only, as sticks, grass trimmings and other yard waste can cause damage to leaf collection equipment. Regular yard waste will continue to be picked up by Rumpke during scheduled trash collection.
Please note that city crews follow specific routes covering all city streets and will be fully completed before cycling through again. Weather permitting, each street will be serviced at least once a week. Crews cannot accept individual leaf pick up requests.
