The City of Canal Winchester and Destination: Canal Winchester are pleased to announce that our community will again serve as the launch and return site for the nation’s longest-running bicycle tour. The 58th annual Tour of the Scioto River Valley (TOSRV) will begin at the Frances Steube Community Center (22 S. Trine St.) on the morning of May 18th. Columbus Outdoor Pursuits, the tour’s 501c3 non-profit managing agency, coordinated with Destination: Canal Winchester to finalize 2019 tour details. Organizers expect over 1,000 riders to participate this year. To accommodate riders of all ages and experience levels, several route options will be offered.
Riders who complete an optional shorter route are expected to return to Canal Winchester the same day (May 18th), finishing their tour at Loose Rail Brewing (37 W. Waterloo St.).
Riders completing the full tour are expected to return to Canal Winchester on the afternoon of May 19th, concluding the event with a post-party at Brew Dog (96 Gender Rd.).
