The City of Canal Winchester will host a Consumer Awareness Workshop on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at the Frances Steube Community Center, 22 S. Trine St. in Canal Winchester. The free community education program will run from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and will focus on consumer protection and fraud prevention (including tips for identifying tax & impostor scams, job opportunity scams, phishing scams, and others). A consumer educator from the Consumer Protection Office of Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine will present the program. Additionally, the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office will have a representative available on-site to answer questions.
