National Preparedness Month Begins September 1st

September is National Preparedness Month.  Residents are reminded that emergencies can happen anytime and anywhere - without notice.  The time to prepare is before a disaster happens.  Does your family have a plan of action and emergency supplies ready?

The theme of this year's National Preparedness Month is "Prepared. Not Scared."  Our partners at Franklin County Emergency Management & Homeland Security encourage everyone to be prepared by following these three steps: Have a Plan, Build a Kit, and Stay Informed.
