Touch-A-Truck at Stradley Park on May 17

The City of Canal Winchester invites families with children of all ages and adults alike to see and explore the many fascinating public service and public safety vehicles on display at the upcoming “Touch-A-Truck” event on Friday evening, May 17th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Stradley Park (36 S. High St.).  From plows to police cars, fire trucks, and more, get a close-up experience with vehicles from Madison Township Fire Department, Madison Township Police Department, the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office, and the City of Canal Winchester.  While at the event, make sure to meet your dedicated local first responders, enjoy classic games and activities, and unwind with timeless musical selections from Mike Walker, MasterMix DJ.

Touch-A-Truck kicks off a series of family-friendly summer events at Stradley Park.  Visit the park on June 21st and July 19th from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. to enjoy a free outdoor summer concert.   June’s Music in the Park concert will feature a display of tractors and farm equipment, a small farmers’ market, and classic country entertainment by Jack Fox & The County Line Band.  July’s Music in the Park concert will get your motor running with live music from the Gas Pump Jockeys and the 12th annual Cruise-In Car Show, hosted by C-Town Cruisers.

On July 12th and August 9th at dusk, the park will become the setting for family-friendly movies.  Bring a blanket and snacks to enjoy a free Movie in the Park.  Screenings will begin when the sun goes down, at about 9:00 p.m.  Movie titles will be announced soon!

Portable chairs and picnics are always welcome at outdoor summer events.  No alcohol is permitted.  Visit www.canalwinchesterohio.gov for more information.
