Attention local gardeners! A free backyard conservation workshop is scheduled to be held on April 20, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Frances Steube Community Center (22 S. Trine St.) in Canal Winchester. The workshop, offered in partnership with Franklin Soil and Water Conservation District, is entitled Community Backyards.
Participants will learn the benefits of rain gardens, rain barrels and composting. In addition, Canal Winchester’s Urban Forester, Dick Miller, will share planting recommendations and tips.
