COVID-19 NOTICE: The Canal Winchester Municipal Pool will not open in 2020
The Canal Winchester Municipal Pool is located at 180 Groveport Rd. and is typically open Memorial Day weekend to the Sunday before Labor Day. When the Canal Winchester Schools start their school year, the pool is only open on non-football Fridays and weekends.

The facility offers a wading pool, zero-depth entrance recreational pool including a waterfall feature, a competition pool including diving boards and a climbing wall, and plenty of lounge chairs as well as a sun sail area for shade. A concession stand is also on site, serving hot dogs, pizzas, nachos, drinks, candy, chips, frozen treats, and much more!
Lighting & Thunder Policy 🌩️
The Canal Winchester Municipal Pool follows the National Lightning Safety Institute’s LIGHTNING & THUNDER POLICY (PDF) recommendations.
- When THUNDER is heard, the pool is cleared and there will be a grace period of 30 MINUTES.
- Every time that thunder is heard the 30 MINUTE time will start over.
- When LIGHTNING is seen, the pool deck will be cleared. Pool visitors are asked to move to a safer area and there will be a grace period of 30 MINUTES.
- Every time that lightning is seen, the 30 MINUTE time will start over.
For the safety of our guests, no new guests will be allowed to enter the pool when it is under a weather delay.
No refunds for weather are given. No exceptions will be made to this rule.
Season Passes & Pool Rates
When the pool resumes operation, season passes will be available for online purchase. Membership cards can be picked up at the pool during your first visit. Daily passes CANNOT be purchased online.
Pool Passes will be available to both residents and non-residents when the pool opens for the 2021 season.
**PLEASE NOTE - You must live within the city limits of Canal Winchester to receive the Resident Membership Rate. Even though you have a Canal Winchester mailing address, or live within the Canal Winchester Local School District, you may not live within the city limits.

**Must present valid ID/documentation.
***To qualify for the reduced daycare rate, the daycare must be within corporation limits, be county/state certified and serve a minimum of 10 children. Children must be at least 5 years old to attend and there must be at least one daycare instructor for every four children.
